Festival toilets are disgusting, most of the time. Most people don’t know you can get a pack of paper toilet seat covers that make a festival toilet much more bearable.
They usually cost a quid or two for a pack of around 20.
They’re made of paper, so like toilet paper, you can just flush them down whatever type of toilet you’re using when you’re done.
You’re more likely to have seen them abroad or heard them mentioned on American TV, as they’re just not that popular in the UK.
That means they’re not normally something you see when you’re out shopping, but if you know what you’re looking for, they’re pretty easy to get hold of.

If you’ve got a Poundland nearby, check out their camping section and you should find these tucked away on a nearby shelf.
It’s slightly more expensive than Poundland to buy online, but the specialist camping shops aren’t any cheaper. If you buy more than one pack, they get cheaper.
Buy together as a group, or just buy plenty so share, and you’ll pay less overall.
